Indu Thapaliya from Nepal writes: “NASK is really valuable: to me, it is without doubt the most worthwhile course anywhere. The kind instructors answered my questions with charm, patience, and intelligence. The programs were enjoyable, and all of them helped me improve both my command of the language as well as my knowledge of various topics. I only regret that I didn't take part in NASK many years ago!”

Takano Kazumi el Japanujo skribis: “Mi havis bonegan tempon ĉe NASK. La loko, NASK-ejo plaĉis al mi. Kaj mi havis neforgeseblajn renkontiĝojn kun la partoprenantoj. Ĉio estis bona kaj plezura sperto.”

Rafael Despradel el la Dominika Respubliko diris: “Miaj scioj pri Esperanto kaj pri la Esperanta kulturo pligrandiĝis kaj perfektiĝis danke al mia partopreno ĉe NASK. Adiaŭi miajn novajn geamikojn je la fino de la kursaro!”

Rafael Despradel of the Dominican Republic writes: “My knowledge of Esperanto and its culture grew and improved thanks to my participation in NASK. I got to know people from many countries who taught me a lot about their cultures and lifestyles. The worst part of my stay at NASK? Saying goodbye to my new friends at the end of the course!”

Bob Russell estas emerita informadikestro el Kalifornio kiu ĉeestis NASK-on malpli ol unu jaron post kiam li eklernis Esperanton. Li diris: “Dum NASK mia kapablo paroli Esperante multe pliboniĝis. Loĝado kaj lernado kun aliaj esperantoparolantoj efikegis. Baldaŭ mi kapablis paroladi kun homoj el aliaj landoj uzante nur Esperanton. Mi multe rekomendas la NASK-an sperton.”

Bob Russell is a retired information technology manager from California who attended NASK less than a year after he began studying Esperanto. He writes: “During NASK my ability to speak the language improved greatly. Living and learning with other Esperanto speakers made a big difference. Soon I was able to carry on conversations with people from other parts of the world using only Esperanto. I highly recommend the NASK experience.”

Marlon Garren, a Spanish instructor from Tennessee writes: “It was great to be able to improve my ability to speak Esperanto and at the same time make new friends from all over the world. My experiences at NASK were fulfilling in a way that no other language learning environment could provide.”

“Ĝi estis vera interkultura sperto, kaj ĉiuj estis tiom bonvenigaj kaj akceptemaj al ĉiuj aliaj. Mi sentis min kiel hejme. Fakte, tio impresis kvazaŭ granda familio. La homoj kun kiuj mi konatiĝis ĉe NASK kaj la ĝenerala etoso vere stimulis sencon de monda civito kaj kamaradeco.”

“It was a truly intercultural experience, and everyone was so welcoming and accepting of everyone else, I felt right at home. In fact, it felt like an extended family. The people that I met at NASK and the general environment really fostered a true sense of world citizenry and camaraderie.”

“I would say that my stay at NASK was one of the defining and affirming moments of my life. It's impossible to come away from NASK unchanged in some way. At the very least you'll make new friends, which will give you very good reasons to travel the globe.”

Ros Fisher, naturkuracisto kaj psikoterapiisto el Londono, eksciis pri Esperanto studante medicinon en Japanujo. Ŝi diris: “La metodon ‘Yumeiho’ [specon de preventa medicino] oni praktikas tra la mondo, kaj tial necesas havi ‘komunan lingvon’ por ebligi klaran interkomunikadon inter la terapiistoj. Mia profesoro elektis la neŭtralan lingvon Esperanto, kaj ĉar mi scipovis nur la anglan li rekomendis ke mi eklernu per la intensiva kurso ĉe NASK, por havigi al mi salt-starton pri Esperanto-lernado.”

Ros Fisher, a Natural Health Practitioner and Psychotherapist from London, learned of Esperanto while studying medicine in Japan. She writes: “The ‘Yumeiho’ method [a form of preventative medicine] is practiced throughout the world, and therefore it's necessary to have a ‘shared language’ enabling clear communication between practitioners. My professor chose the neutral language of Esperanto, and since English was my only language, he recommended that I begin my studies with the intensive course at NASK to give me a head-start.”

Mi dividis domon dum la tri semajnoj kun grupo de la plej specialaj homoj kiujn mi iam ajn renkontis—ili venis el naŭ landoj! Kune ni lernis, ridis, studis, manĝis, kantis, ludis, naĝis, promenis, diskutis diversteme kaj kunloĝis, unuigitaj per unu lingvo.”

“I stayed on the campus of one of the world's foremost educational centres for language learning, and experienced an incredible opportunity in intercultural living. I shared a house for three weeks with some of the most special people I've ever met—they came from nine countries! Together we learned, laughed, studied, ate, sang, played, swam, walked, discussed many topics and lived together, united by one language.”

“Niaj instruistoj estis dediĉitaj, lertaj, kaj pacientaj. Tiu ĉi miriga sperto de ‘tutmonda kunvivado kaj lernado’ estis neforgesebla. Mi ricevis donacon de pli ol nur lingvo—mi revenis al Londono kun sento ke mi vere estas parto de monda komunumo! Mi certe revenos al NASK por antaŭenigi mian lingvolernadon.”

“Our teachers were dedicated, gifted and patient. This astonishing experience of ‘global-living and learning’ was unforgettable. I was given more than just a gift of language—I returned to London with a sense of being part of a global community! I'll definitely return to NASK to further my language learning.”
